Had an FXE before, and now got an S on order. Honestly, riding a Zero around town was way more fun than my Triumph Trident 660. Instant torque, no gears, just twist and go. The acceleration is nuts, it’s like a ridiculous scooter that happens to be able to dust most cars at a stoplight. People don’t even see you as a hooligan when you rip through traffic, which is wild considering how fast these things move.
That being said, it runs out of steam once you push past city speeds. If you like the feeling of revving through gears and actually trying to go fast, you might miss that on a Zero. It’s insanely quick up to a point, but it hits a wall where it stops feeling exciting. That’s the only thing I felt was missing. Still, for urban riding, nothing beats it.
