Zero motorcycles expensive and short-term

My 40-year-old BMW's engine and transmission can be rebuilt with the tools that came with it, but will we be able to find a replacement battery for a Zero in 40 years? For most riders, it's not a problem because many unload their bikes before they even get their first oil change. I've been considering Zero motorcycles, and to be honest, they're pricey for what they offer, especially when you look at the long-term.
